1.A leader is possessed with his dreams. A leader looks in the future consistently, working on a vision for a superior future. Always pleased, but never prepared to settle for less than what they wish without a struggle.


2.A leader heads forth before accomplishment is assured. If others are not uneasy, anxious, disbelieving, unenthusiastic, or negative about where you are going, then it's probably been accomplished before and is not a very big deal. Leaders commence journeys that have not been tried.


3.A leader talks about his own shortcomings before speaking about someone else's. Leaders are not perfect, and are willing to acknowledge what they need to improve on. They are their own worst critic, and know that the log in their own eye is often much bigger than the splinter in anothers.


4.A leader makes others change for the better. Positivity, motivation, uplifting, support, help & instruction, accountability, example. We all need these things.


5.A leader is swift to upliftand encourage the least amount of development. Every leader knows that they got to their position by small, lone strides in that direction, not gigantic jumps forward. Leaders celebrate small achievements, lifting up their followers.


6.A leader is really interested in others. People are selfish at their core, and leaders know that others want and need to be listened to and focused on.


7.A leader takes others along with him/her. A smart leader surrounds themselves with others that are more gifted and more talented than themselves.


8.A leader never allows murmuring'from himself or others. Leaders never allow gossip or negative talk to infiltrate their group.


9.A leader does what is correct rather than what is well-liked. The masses are usually looking for what is in style, that is why they seldom become magnificent. My favorite quote is - 'Two roads diverged into the wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference.' (Frost) Doing what is correct will ensure that integrity and honesty is the base of a leaders value system.


10. A leader is a server. A leader is the opening one to do what nobody else wants to. You don't need to look any further than when the Son of God washed his disciples feet.


11. A leader goes the extra mile. A leader does greater than what is anticipated of them. Up early, up late, drive anywhere, fly anywhere, not only willing to do the work necessary to see achievement, but willing to work harder than anyone else to get there.
